Amado de Jesús Dédeu is an experienced rumbero with a long career. He is director of the legendary group Clave Y Guaguancó, founded in Havana over 50 years ago. The group is dedicated to researching and developing the traditions of Afro-Cuban music. With roots-style singing, drumming and dancing, they'll introduce you to the universe of gods, magic and African-rooted rituals. They play Yambú, Guaguancó, Columbias and Cuban carnival music as well as more purely African music from the Yoruba, Arará, Abakuá, Congo or Bantú. The group's recordings for EGREM are marketed in the States by Green Linnet Records and were successful, winning several awards. One of their vocalists is also a famous female percussionist, Amelia Pedroso.
Amado Dedeu Garcia Jr. is a rumbero from Habana, Cuba, continuing in the traditions of his father. He was a member of the famous grupo Clave y Guaguanco and is an artist with custom drum company, Moperc.
