International Drum and Unity Festival

GET READY, TORONTO!

The International Drum and Unity Festival is a vibrant, high-energy cultural celebration presented in partnership with the South By South East Festival. Taking place in Toronto from June 17–20, 2026, this free, family-friendly festival will bring together the rhythms, traditions, and communities of the world during the global excitement of FIFA 2026.

Hosted at Toronto City Hall, the festival will feature live drumming, dance, music, storytelling, interactive workshops, and community rhythm circles designed to engage audiences of all ages. Guests can expect powerful performances showcasing global drumming traditions including African, Caribbean, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian, Brazilian and more.

The festival also honours the legacy of Ballet Creole founder, the late Patrick Parson, whose ground breaking vision helped elevate African-Caribbean dance and drumming in Canada. Through rhythm and cultural exchange, the International Drum and Unity Festival continues this legacy by celebrating unity, inclusion, and the shared language of the drum.

A full schedule and programming announcement will be released soon.
